Behind Gantt's website is Drupal, the open source that is somewhere between a website tool and cloud computing. There are literally millions of websites around the world that use Drupal, including www.thewhitehouse.com, www.economist.com and www.wwf.org.

Increased functionality

Drupal has about 5,500 modules to add functionality to your site - which means we can extend your site's functionality quickly and efficiently.

Why have increased functionality?

The driving motivation is usually one or more of the following:

  • Increase accessibility of existing functions
  • To do a function better (Increased accuracy and consistency)

Modules that increase functionality

Modules can be added during the initial setup or in stages once you require them for your website. A small sample of added functionality Gantt has completed includes:

  • Pages with an excerpt. Add your own pages (News, Product or Blog) that have excepts (that you control) placed into social media like Facebook, Twitter etc. You can now manage your social media from one place!
  • Listings. Pages of items that have a sortable summary of can be filtered - for example a listing of boats for sale; products; editorial pages.
  • Catalogue. Product pages, sortable - a very powerful way to present your products to the world.
  • Shopping cart. With or without e-commerce. Sometimes all that's wanted is a way to have customers 'order' products and for notification by an automated email.
  • Inventory control. Managed online from the database.
  • Webforms. This can be used to collect data from clients - very configurable.
  • Automated registration. Used for newsletters, events and more.
  • Database management. Drupal solutions use MySQL which is now established as one of the most popular database solutions in the world. By having your database on a server means it is accessible anywhere there is an internet connection, anytime.
  • Access Control. Pages that can only be seen by clients that you want to see
  • Automated quotation systems. By intelligent use of predefined criteria, automated quotations are a bonus for customers who need a price fast - and for suppliers who want to save time. It's normal that all the data gets securely saved to the database.
